·Theme:
-Experimental investigations into deformation properties from very small strains to beyond failure
-Time effects(ageing and viscous effects)
-The interpretation of laboratory, in-situ and field observations of deformation behaviour
-Characterising and modelling the behaviour
-Case histories

·Authors may wish to propose either (ⅰ) a Journal type paper that, after rigorous review may be published in a special issue of Soils and Foundations or (ⅱ) a more conventional Conference type paper of up to 8 pages in length.

-Abstract deadline 01/01/02
-Deadline for Soils and Foundations Journal full papers 01/07/02
-Deadline for Proceedings papers 01/02/03
