GEE 2017(Geo-Environmental Engineering 2017) Call for Abstracts

GEE 2017 Call for Abstracts(May 19 - 20, 2017, Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea)

Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the organizing committee, here I gladly announce the Call for Abstracts for the GEE 2017 (Geo-Environmental Engineering 2017), which will be taking place on May 19-20, 2017 at Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea. The objective of GEE is to provide an international forum for the exchange of ideas and recent advances in the field of geoenvironmental engineering and to give students and young researchers the opportunity to present their works to an international and expert audience. GEE has been held annually in Korea, Japan, Canada, and France since its inception in 2001.

(1) Abstract Submission
Presenters/authors are invited to submit preliminary abstracts containing no more than 200 words related to topics of the conference. Abstracts must be written in English on an A4 size paper and submitted to the following email address by January 31, 2017: xuxinsnu1987@snu.ac.kr (Mr. Xuxin, student secretariat)
Notice of Acceptance will be notified by February 28, 2017. And Full Paper submission deadline will be March 31, 2017.

(2) The themes of the GEE2017 will cover:
-Waste/landfill design and management 
-Marine Waste Disposal Facilities
-Radioactive Wastes and Treatment
-Geo-synthetics and geoenvironmental engineering 
-Geotechnical reuse of solid waste 
-Remediation of contaminated sites (soils, mining residues and sediments) 
-Environmental risk assessment and management 
-Ground improvement technologies 
-Contribution to global environmental problems 
-Impact of energy production on geoenvironment

(5) All the other information regarding Hotels/Site Visit/etc. will be included at bulletin n°2
This time, Korea Institute of Ocean Science & Technology(KIOST) will become one of the sponsors for GEE2017 and we will have a special themed session on the Marine Waste Disposal Facilities. Also, Korean Society of Soil and Groundwater Environment(KSSGE) will have its Annual Conference in parallel with GEE2017, thus GEE will be a great forum to meet Korean professionals, researchers, and professors in geoenvironmental engineering.
