1.ISSMGE Global Survey on State of the Art (SoA) and State of Practice (SoP)
As of 15th April 2017, we received 915 responses, from 71 countries. It is pleasing to see such widespread interest by the geotechnical community to this important survey, and we thank all who have contributed to date. The survey formally closes on 30th April, and all ISSMGE members who have not yet had the opportunity are encouraged to provide your input.
The following table provides a breakdown of survey responses to the question in the survey of the country where the respondent lives (of the 915 responses, 885 responses answered this question). Total - 185 (21% of responses that answered this question) 42 countries gave less than 10 answers (1 to 9) contributing a total of 98 responses to this question in the survey.

3. ISSMGE Foundation
The next deadline for receipt of applications for awards from the ISSMGE Foundation is the 1st May 2017. Applicants seeking funding to attend either the International Conference or the Young Geotechnical Engineer’s event in Seoul should ensure that their applications are submitted before this deadline. 5.Technical Committee Database on Website
Member society officers are reminded that the TC database is now online (http://www.issmge.org/committees/technical-committees) and is the definitive source of TC information (Terms of Reference, & Membership lists). All Member Societies were invited to nominate a representative who would be entrusted with entering the details of their member society’s nominees on the database. If your society does not have such a representative, please contact the Secretariat (secretariat@issmge.org)
